We grow more than 53 different flowers, pods and grains; complemented by our beautiful greenhouse selection of live plants for your hanging baskets, yard plantings, containers, and growing decoration needs.

Our family owned farm is located in Cumming, Iowa, just a short drive south of Des Moines, and we are open daily, all year round, for your convenience. Families return again and again to visit the upstairs of this 1910 barn to see the flowers drying and enjoy our scenic surroundings.
Downstairs, in the Gift Shop, you'll be fascinated with the huge selection and variety of colors of our dried floral arrangements-wreath, swags, baskets, nosegays, and ready-made dried floral arrangements.
We also have a great selection of home decor, gifts, and extensive seasonal selections for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother's Day, and more!
We are pleased to have been chosen "Best Assembed Containers" by Iowa Gardening Magazine. We are also in Container Gardening for a 2nd year in a row! Bring in your containers and we will help you choose the right plans and design your container. For a small fee we will plant the container for you.
Come celebrate all four seasons with us at Howell's Dried Floral and Greenhouse.
Spring- We have a beautiful selection of perennials, hanging baskets, container gardens, gardening gifts, and decorative trellises and garden accessories. We also grow fresh asparagus, the first vegetable of spring.
Summer- Your family will be amazed and almost overwhelmed as you stroll through the rolling fields of flowers, with breathtaking rainbows of color. Then step inside the barn, and be our guest in the loft, where the flowers are hung in 20 and 25 foot cascades to be naturally, air dried. We also grow blueberries, raspberries, tomatoes, watermelon, cucumbers and peppers, so be sure to plan to stock up on tasty, nutritious fresh vegetables.
Fall- Nothing compares to fall on the farm, where you'll enjoy rows and rows of hardy mums, brilliant pumpkins, and tons of fun and fall activities. Be sure you visit Howell's Pumpkin Patch, a family tradition for thousands of families.
Winter- Get into the spirit of the holiday season by shopping in our festive gift shop. Howell's offers an imaginative variety of centerpieces, swags, wreaths, candles, potpourri, and decorations.
